Cute Pets

People adopt pets for different reasons, while most have dogs for home security from thieves and robbers, a larger population of pet owners decided to own pets for companionship. Statistics show that pet owners have lower stress level and better vitality compared to those who do not own pets. On the other hand, some are interested in having pets and keeping them as social accessories – pets are pets, they’re meant to be cute and cuddly. Can’t decide what to get? Well here are some of the fur balls you can choose from.
-
Dogs – There is no doubt about it, dogs outrank the rest of the furry creatures in terms of wits and functions. Dogs have an excellent sense of smell, that’s why they’re good mates for hunting. They can be totally witty and hilarious at times. No matter how cute a dog is, it is always best to check their breed’s common traits and see if your lifestyle can compliment the kind of lifestyle the canine will need. At the same time, you may also want to consider the people in your family; some breeds are a no-no for someone who may have asthma, while you may want to consider a child-friendly breed, like Labradors, if you have small children at home.
-
Cats – For people who find dogs too bouncy and energetic, they may opt for a more sedentary creature, of course we all know how a cat can be very sedentary, thanks to Garfield for that. While cats may have mood swings as that of a woman who is about to get her period, cats are good companions as well. You can be sure your Friday movie nights will not be interrupted as this feline friend of yours is happy just to be seated at your lap while you finish that pint of ice cream.
-
Rabbits – Pretty much like cats these fur balls are best matched for families that could not cope with high energy pets, such as dogs. Bunnies are happy to just stay at one spot and have very little interaction. You just have to make sure they have enough food and sufficient water supply for the time you will be away. And yes, you do not have to feed them carrots all the time. You can vary their diet with other veggies and pellets.
- Birds – These winged creatures, especially the ones who can mimic our speech are absolutely fun to have at home as well. It is totally hilarious as you hear these birds mimic your favorite expressions, down to your voice. You will also find yourself baffled as you pick up the phone only to hear a dial tone every time, that only means one thing – your bird. Others who prefer a quiet environment can opt to have the ones that cannot mimic speech like love birds.
Whatever kind of pet you decide to have, be sure you’re able to provide for its needs to ensure good health and long life.
